Cynthia Alvarez was born in New York City. Her B.F.A in Painting was received from Pratt Institute. She is a visual artist and Creative Director for Digging Through the Fat Press.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Idiosyncrasies, centers on an investigation into the infinite, discordant, beautiful peculiarities that lie in the subconscious. Experimenting with color intensity and form gives rise to small irregular narratives; moments in time that placed side by side make up a diverse community.

The pieces are produced with gouache, acrylic, oil and watercolor on wood panels.
